The latest development, from CBS News: Brothers say Jussie Smollett paid them to participate in alleged attack, source says

A source close to the investigation confirms to CBS News the brothers told detectives Smollett paid them to participate in the alleged attack on January 29 and that they purchased the rope — which was found around Smollett’s neck — at a nearby hardware store. The source said detectives have evidence to corroborate the sale, something the men’s attorney alluded to Friday night.

De Blasio is not too pleased with AOC: De Blasio rips into AOC’s Amazon opposition: Working people ‘want jobs’

It’s a progressive civil war.

A hot-under-the-collar Mayor Bill de Blasio tore into Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Friday as he blistered both the online giant and local politicians who opposed bringing it to Queens.

“As a progressive my entire life — and I ain’t changing — I’ll take on any progressive anywhere that thinks it’s a good idea to lose jobs and revenue because I think that’s out of touch with what working people want,” the mayor said on WNYC radio.

And finally, friend of the show Michael Walsh, wrote a very nice piece over at PJ Media about the passing of Pat Caddell.

Profound, perceptive, and utterly unable to suffer fools gladly, Pat resembled in appearance and presentation an Old Testament prophet, Jeremiah perhaps, thundering as he tried to make people see the light.

Pat Caddell was a very good friend to the show over the years, always generous with his time, and the wisdom that he shared with us was unparalleled. We will miss him greatly. We will be putting out a special episode this week that features our thoughts about the time we spent with Pat along with highlights from his appearances on the podcast.
