Fingers: It’s hitting the fan in Portland.
Tracy: What’s hitting the fan?
Fingers: You’ll find out next on the Enough Already Daily Brief(ly).
Fingers: This is the Enough Already Daily Brief(ly) I’m Fingers Malloy, she’s Tracy L. Connors. Tracy there’s a lot of tension in Portland Oregon, protest after protest, now this past weekend police have stepped up and started confiscating weapons.
Tracy: I have the story! It’s from the Washington Post. In that cache of weapons you’re describing there were; axes and crowbars, dozens of sticks and makeshift clubs, canisters of mace, knives, hammers, batons and even a set of brass knuckles. Things are getting hot in the streets Fingers.

Fingers: Yeah, this was a pro-Trump rally.
Fingers: And of course the Antifa showed up to counter-protest and they started throwing bricks at police. And then things started to get real and you saw police confiscating these weapons, we talked about this last week on the show, it’s getting to the point where people on the right are standing up and saying you know what, we’re not going to put up with this, we’re bringing our own weapons and we’re going to defend ourselves. This could be a hot ugly summer.
Tracy: I think it’s gonna be, but after eight years of CVS taking the brunt of everyone’s angst, how many times have we watched store windows get smashed and cities burned to the ground, it was only matter of time before people went out into the streets and said enough of this. The Berkley Milo riot was probably the turning point.
Fingers: So hopefully things will calm down but I don’t see that happening.
