The polls are shifting in battle ground states

First up, attitudes about the severity of the Coronavirus are shifting in battle ground states.

Via The Hill:

Serious concerns about the coronavirus pandemic are on the decline in some of the nation’s most critical battleground states, while approval of President Trump’s handling of the outbreak is rising, according to a new CNBC-Change Research poll released on Wednesday.

Across six battleground states — Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — the number of likely voters who expressed serious concern about the coronavirus dropped 4 points since earlier this month, dipping from 69 percent to 65 percent.

The share of respondents who said they have “very serious concerns” about the pandemic fell from 49 percent to 45 percent in recent weeks, according to the poll.

The same poll also demonstrated that voters are showing less interest in voting by mail.

Battleground states are seeing a drop in the number of likely voters planning to vote by mail, according to a poll released Wednesday.

CNBC/Change Research poll determined that 33 percent of likely battleground state voters said they will vote by mail in the November election.

In the last poll conducted two weeks ago, 38 percent of battleground voters, from Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, intended to vote by mail.

The largest shift came among Democratic voters; 57 percent of Democrats in the battleground states said they intend to vote by mail in the new poll, compared to 64 percent two weeks ago.
