This week on the big show, Fingers and Tracy discuss how 4chan has once again tricked the leftist media into believing the patently absurd. Hillary is launching a new PAC in order to cash in on the resistance movement. What we learned from Comey’s most recent appearance in front of Congress and Morning Joe wedding bells. Monica Crowley stopped by to chat about pending threats, the upcoming French election, the recent vote in Turkey and North Korea.
Journalists have become so lazy and insulated inside their ideological bubbles, that it’s becoming easier and easier to trick them into believing just about anything. 4chan/pol/ has been exploiting this weakness for years. Their most recent operation may be their funniest yet.
About two months ago, 4chan trolls on /pol/ set out to convince journalists that the “OK” sign was a white supremacist symbol. Calling it “operation OKKK”, they set out to convince internet users, mostly on Twitter, that the OK sign had been co-opted by Neo Nazis. Users were advised to create fake social media account of “basic white girl names” and spam the social media sites, accusing the sign of being racist. “Leftists have dug so deep down into their lunacy. We must force [them ]to dig more, until the rest of society ain’t going anywhere near that shit”
The 4channers were right. Leftist lunatics who see Nazis everywhere they look, fell right into the trap. They actually believed that the OK sign had been appropriated by white supremacists. They just had to bide their time and wait to catch one of these crypto-Nazis in the act. So when Mike Cernovich and Cassandra Fairbanks tweeted out a photograph of themselves holding up the OK sign from the WH press secretary’s podium, gullible lefties pounced.
It began with a tweet from Fusion’s Emma Roller…

which was picked up and turned into a full article by the UK Independent.

Since they already KNOW that Nazis are everywhere, they don’t feel the need to fact-check. Even though they’ve fallen victim to 4chan pranks in the past, it doesn’t occur to them to perform a quick Google search. Plus any story about Nazis will get a ton of clicks. If they happen to be wrong, they’ll just stick a little update line in there somewhere, no big deal. But it is a big deal to those who are erroneously being labeled white supremacists, and perhaps it will be a big deal to the Independent when they are slapped with a libel suit.
How many more 4chan pranks will these idiots fall for? My guess is several.
Here’s a preview of 4chan’s next operation, “make America gendered again”. Let’s see how long it takes for the meme magic to work.
There do happen to be actual white supremacists in the United States. Not enough to swing an election as Hillary Clinton and other leftists would like you to believe, but they do exist. And hey how do you like this, some of them vocally supported Hillary in the 2016 race. The reason for the radio silence about the KKK supporting Hillary is obvious, the life of the narrative matters more than the truth. The narrative in this case being that every racist in America would vote for Trump. The story was already written before a single vote was counted. We learned from Shattered that:
On a phone call with a longtime friend a couple of days after the election, Hillary was much less accepting of her defeat. She put a fine point on the factors she believed cost her the presidency: the FBI (Comey), the KGB (the old name for Russia’s intelligence service), and the KKK (the support Trump got from white nationalists).
And she’s still pushing this nonsense. During an appearance this week at a Women for Women International (whatever the hell that is) event she once again pointed the finger of blame at the FBI and the “KGB”. Not sure why she left the KKK off the list, maybe they sent a fat check to the new PAC she’s launching.

Alleged election spoiler Jim Comey was back in front of Congress this week to testify in front of some Senate committee. During his testimony he revealed that Huma Abedin had a practice of forwarding emails that contained classified information to Anthony Weiner so that he could print them out.
Are there no printers at the State Department?! And does Comey honestly believe that Weiner didn’t read any of the pages he printed for Huma? It’s maddening.
For more light hearted, feel good news, we were joined by Monica Crowley who informed us of the dangers of an EMP attack. Gave us her take on the French election (Le Pen will lose), and the expansion of Turkish President Erdogan’s power following a referendum vote.

In all seriousness there was some actual feel good news this week. Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski announced their engagement, and President Trump has offered to officiate the ceremony. Fun!

We are not offended and we aren’t calling for the firing of Stephen Colbert over the remarks he made on his show this week. If you don’t like him, don’t watch.

One of the few times SNL made fun of Obama.
Another couple is looking to cash in by filming an argument they had with a Delta flight crew. It seems like both parties are in the wrong on this one. The one take away from this situation, if you break the law, you go to jail and your children become wards of the state.
An Australian man is picking a legal fight with an airline. He was seated next to a fatty on an American Airlines flight from Sydney to Los Angeles and is claiming to have suffered injuries as a result. How is an airline supposed to control the weight of their ticketed passengers?
And finally the French election is heating up in the final days. The favorite, Emmanuel Macron has been having a rough go of it. Macron had claimed that he did not have any money in offshore accounts, but documents surfaced that seem to disprove his assertion. Got News had an auditor from one of the Big Three accounting firms review the documents. She concluded:
In my opinion, there is no reason to assume these documents are fake. If I was hired by the French government to inspect these documents, I would recommend that government investigators obtain a warrant to carry out further investigation into Emmanuel Macrons personal papers and correspondences, both written and digital.
Things only got worse for Macron as the week progressed. Macron’s campaign’s emails were hacked and released anonymously on Pastebin. Macron’s campaign confirmed the hack, but are claiming that some of the documents that have been released are fakes. Sound familiar? Oh and of course the hack is being pinned on Fancy Bear, the Russian hacker group who alleged perpetrator the DNC hack, and anyone who is trying to get the word out is being labeled a Russian agent. Deja vu all over again.
